Thing #2 :)

I decided to be simple since this is my first blog and I have a drive to be organized in all my digital endeavors.  So in keeping with my true persona I name my blog after myself and the course we are taking.  As I began to create the blog my experience was positive and confident.  Though I will admit at one point I faltered and became frustrated because I kept getting hung-up on the google profile before realizing I was just wasting time with that.  After I got over that little time snag everything went very smoothly and I was impressed with how easy this process really is.  Everything follows a logical procedure and has prompts that guided me through the entire process.

As to making my Avatar I found that an interesting task.  As soon as I began creating my Avatar I became concerned about how my Avatar would represent me to others.  I played with several outfits and adjustments before I buckled down and made an Avatar that looks similar to me in real life.  I think my Avatar represents my personality because when it comes to public image I tend to be conservative and want to appear in a in a rated "G" fashion (showing nothing I would want my own daughter to cover).  My usual dress style is plain blue jeans and a t-shirt.  My dress style has earned me the infamous title of "Plain Jane" to my immediate family.

  1. I love your conservative ease and nickname,... "Plane Jane". It is very admirable. Especially, in our culture. Good Post. Makes sense to me. Very straight forward, seems to fit your "persona". See you in class! -clint

    1. Thanks for the post. It's weird but when I was a kid my sisters used to tease me and I hated the "plain Jane" nickname but now it has just grown on me.

  2. Kasey I think your Avatar is great representation of who you are. I had class with you last semester and you are a very down to earth, friendly person.

  3. Kasey,

While I didn't exactly get caught up on the Google profile, I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to pick the best background and fonts and style of my blog. I also got a little frustrated because Blogger was different a few years ago (of course, everything evolves when it comes to technology) and I feel the previous version was easier. But I also stuck with it and just worked through!

    Cheers,
    Adrienne
